BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL CARE

Here at the French Immersion School of Washington (FISW), we offer a range of out of school options intended to provide childcare in a bilingual and enriching setting.

FISW offers before and after school care (garderie) five days a week with morning drop-off beginning at 7:45am and pick up times ranging from 4:30-5:30. The school year is divided into 3 sessions, and families have the opportunity to opt in/out for each session. We also offer emergency daily drop-in at a rate of $48/day when space is available.

Rates below reflect the 2024-2025 school year.

Before-school garderie is available from 7:45 AM to the start of class for $45 for the week.

After-school garderie is available from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM. You can sign up for:

  • 4:30 PM pick-up for $95 for the week,

  • 5:00 PM pick-up for $125 for the week,

  • 5:30 PM pick-up for $165 for the week.

Families qualifying for need-based tuition assistance receive the same percent assistance for before and after school care (garderie).

ENRICHMENT CLASSES

In addition to daily garderie, we offer a variety of weekly enrichment classes designed for students to explore new interests. A few of our popular classes are cooking, visual arts, basketball, and chess. Classes are offered from our smallest students to our 5th graders, providing age-appropriate content for each group of children.

Mini-Camps

FISW offers three weeklong mini-camps during our Fall (October), Mid-Winter (February), and Spring (April) Breaks.

These Mini-Camps provide thematic and seasonal programming in French and English for Preschool to 5th grade students.

For Fall 2024 camp, we invite students to enter the Magical World of FISW!

Summer camp

We can’t forget our biggest camp of the year, Summer Camp! Each year we provide five weeks of summer camp for our students. Students can maintain their French language skills throughout the summer with our bilingual staff and projects. Each week is coordinated around a theme. Here is an example of our summer themes from Summer 2024 Camp: Fun and Games:

  • Board Game Bonanza

  • C’est rigolo! A week of comedy and humor

  • Les Petits Campeurs: The Great Outdoors

  • La Decouverte: Discovery Week

  • Les jeux olympiques: The Olympic Games

Mini-camps and summer camp are not eligible for tuition assistance.
